This is a question I get very often asked by many people. If you have an interest, a desire, a passion, a goal, thats great. You are already one step forward. While many others have no specific interest nor goals. Now we got a problem in hand.

The thing is, an interest, desire, passion or goal is a very important element of success. But if you have got no interest in anything, you will not know what job to look for, what you should do for a living, and so on. Then I would advice you this. Take some time to think, what do you LIKE. Do you like to travel around the world? Do you like to eat good food? Do you like branded clothings? Do you like big cars? If yes, good, thats the starting point.

Lets say you like to buy branded clothings. Now how are you going to be able to afford to achieve that goal? You need money right? Simple. So then you need to choose a career path that will give you the ability to buy lots of branded clothings. You see, sometimes you may not like the job that you do, but it brings you closer to your desire. You lose something. You gain something. Of course this is for those who are not able to identify interest. Therefore my suggestion is you identify what will make you happy. So then work backward to present time and see what you can do now to bring you there.

I have my ultimate goals. At certain age in time, I want certain things. I have only 3 ultimate goal in life and they are suppose to be achieved by 5 to 15 years from now. Therefore, everything that I do today is moving towards there. That way, it makes me look forward to each and every day because I know that everything I do will move towards that ultimate goal. Of course you will have short term goals as well because these short term goals will keep your ultimate goal in perspective.

So, start planning your steps to achieve your ultimate goal. and then take ACTION. Remember, there is always risk in life. Risk is the border separating the top 5% from the rest of the 95%. If you do not take risk and never made any mistakes, you will forever be playing safe and not knowing the fullest potential in life.
